Tenacious and driven, Dato’ R. Ramalingam has been involved in almost all initiatives of Lotus Group since its inception. He is responsible for leading the company’s global operations including site operations and quality control. During the initial years, he worked across various segments of the business, conceptualising strategy and driving operational excellence. In 1994, Dato’ Ramalingam Pillai became the Honorary Chairman of the Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners Association.
Focused on strengthening and sustaining an excellent workplace, he strongly believes in creating a workforce that allows employees to achieve their full potential.
With his in-depth knowledge of the business, Dato’ Nagasundaram played a strategic role in several landmark projects that has allowed the business to discover new opportunities, build talent and drive growth.
Madam Indra oversees all legal, regulatory and compliance matters regarding Lotus Group and its companies. She also advises Lotus Group on matters pertaining to ethics, corporate governance practices and transparency. With over 27 years of experience in corporate, business and finance, general litigation and employment law, Madam Indra remains committed in navigating the increasingly complex legal, regulatory and business environment, both locally and abroad.
Upon graduation, Mr. Karthiik began his career at Lotus Group as a Business Development Executive at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa and was later appointed as its Chief Business Development Officer in 2017.
Mr Karthiik learnt about the importance of hard work and diligence from his father, Tan Sri Datuk R. Doraisingam Pillai. Coupled with his strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial mindset as well as strong financial and people management skills, he implemented various changes to transform Lotus Group into a diversified business. He also conceptualised, built and managed Lotus Group’s start-up in the aged-care business within just six months.
Mr. Karthiik graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with cum laude from DePaul University, Chicago in 2016.
